If you do, you might want to check that your touchpad is not turned off when using an external mouse. This is my laptop machine and I want my Touchpad restored. I currently have no xorg. Build quality is excellent, with solid plastic making up the body of the HA.
I have tried touchpwd settings for the mouse in xorg.

The screen cover does a good job with protecting the LCD panel and with a strong squeeze the panel only shows small area of distortion. Sign up using Facebook. Also you might want to check that is not disabled.
