I found a way around the issue with resetting the ip protocol and not being able to uninstall the wan miniport. Found the solution following this wab Ok lets try that: I made sure each of my commands were typed correctly but after I re-booted and opened up network adapters, no wans were installed at all.

I did take a screen shot of the imnipuerto window just in case you wanted to see it but there doesn’t seem to be a way to post it here. I have windows 7 and while going through the tutorial and confirming the different links, found that the one link to microsoft’s site was windows 10 specific.

Although, I went through the guided steps, I did not have any luck updating the network adapter. A required privilege is not held by the client. I do not have errors when I uninstall these drivers, but they do not disapear from the device manager.
